Playwork

Our Playwork qualifications are suitable for staff and volunteers who work with children and young people in play settings. This includes community play areas, afterschool clubs, breakfast clubs, holiday play schemes, meal time assistants or anyone wishing to develop true play in their setting. Qualifications

CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Playwork - this qualification is suitable for those starting out in the playwork sector or for practitioners who are assistants within a setting

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Playwork - this qualification is suitable for those with experience of playwork or for those with a supervisory role

CACHE Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork (from Early Years) - this qualification is suitable for anyone who already holds a level 3 qualification in Early Years.

CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Playwork (NVQ) - this qualification is suitable for experienced playworkers who want to gain a leadership qualification.

Short Courses and Workshops

We deliver a range of workshops including understanding the playwork principles, an introduction to Playwork theory, play types and play spaces, out door play, risky play, playing with the elements, dynamic risk assessments, consultation and communication with children and young people, child development, observation, planning and record keeping, loose parts and cooking with children. In addition, we have short courses such as paediatric first aid, outdoor paediatric first aid, emergency first aid at work, first aid at work, food safety, safeguarding and health and safety available.
