CACHE Level 2 Award in End of Life Care

This qualification provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services in end of life care. It is appropriate for those who have already achieved a Level 2 qualification in health and social care and are looking to develop their knowledge in this area. This could include workers in hospices, care homes, care in the community and primary care. As a taster qualification it can also be used as CPD across all levels. This makes it ideal for anyone who may need an understanding of this subject even though they are not directly involved in the care of individuals. You should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines. To achieve this qualification, you must achieve 3 credits from 1 mandatory unit. It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a range of methods. This could include compiling a portfolio of evidence, a task set by us or by an assignment. As it is a knowledge only qualification you do not need to be working in a setting. You can usually complete it in 3 months or less.
