CACHE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Health and Social Care
This qualification will develop the knowledge and skills needed when working with food in health and social care and early years and childcare settings. It covers food safety requirements, contributing to and/or promoting nutrition and hydration and supporting individuals to eat and drink.
It is suitable for anyone who may be preparing for a new role, or is working in a role that involves handling food safely and supporting an individual with their nutrition and hydration needs.
You should be at least 14 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.
The Award in Food Safety requires 2 credits.
It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
If you take the knowledge-only unit for the Award in Food Safety you do not need access to the workplace.
You can usually complete it in less than 2 months.
The group price is for up to 12 learners.
